Knowledgeable and helpful staff who really know the trails and history of the area. Perfect for people who want an easy day hike with kids or grandparents, but trails also meet up with the superior hiking trail if you go far enough if you want something more rigorous.
This is a very nice visitor center with several bathrooms, a nice gift shop and a few displays describing the history and geology of Gooseberry Falls and the park they are in. This is a nice place to stop before or after splashing in the falls.

Always crowded but worth the stop. Lots of learning about the area, the lake, animals, etc. Kids enjoy it as well and there's nice clean restrooms, vending machines for beverages and drinking fountains. In the winter, it's very peaceful and a great opportunity to make the most of it without as many people.
