You’re money is most definitely better spent here rather than any other price gouging hotels from Duluth up to Two Harbors.
The care taker / owner really made it the great experience that it was.
The owner was incredibly nice and helpful. She provided any amenity you could think of. The room was clean and comfortable. The cute dog and cat were a plus too! We will definitely be staying there again.
If you are a pet lover or love to bring your fur baby on trips, this is the place to stay!
Clean, older place. The customer service is fantastic, but they're in the middle of doing some upgrades which were visible in our room. The shower was fantastic, spacious and with a new shower head. Great water pressure. The beds, however, seemed to dip slightly towards the middle. Not too terrible for one night, but a multiple night stay might get painful after a while. I am looking forward to their improvements for next time.
Had to make an unexpected pit-stop in Two Harbors from backpacking the Superior Hiking Trail, and not only was the motel pet friendly, but they were able to accommodate me last minute when other options could not. There's a lot of love that's been put into the details of this quaint motel .. a full kitchen in the room that reminded me of grandma's house as a kid (in all of the best ways!), roomy shower, big HD TV, and a really nice front porch area to relax outside. Heat and AC in each room too. To top it off, the owner is friendly as can be with a sparkling personality and smile to match. Walking distance to stores and downtown Two Harbors.

We absolutely loved this place! Rooms are not high end or fancy but absolutely adorable! Extremely clean.
She is willing to help out with whatever you may need. Very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas.
Don't Judge it before you stay. This place looks a little rough around the edges from the outside, but when we checked in the lady was so friendly and helpful my mind was changed. The room had comfortable beds and was spotless. It's not your average wayside motel. I would highly recommend this place to anyone over any of the large chain motels or hotels
I'm grateful for such a cozy place to stay the night with my dog before getting back out on the trail.
