Had a great time, been here a few times before, no major problems or concerns. Snagged the last available room during a busy popular weekend. Unfortunately, when I went to put my kids to bed the first night I noticed the sheets were not clean so I checked the second bed, same, I will leave out the details. I called the front desk and they sent someone up with new sheets 45 min later, understandable with a full house. Bathroom needed bleaching, the grout on the floor was orange from mold. The screen was popped out of the upper part of the screen of the only window, so we could not open it for fresh air. I was not paying for a very expensive room but never expected this and feel like we deserved better and cleaner staying at Superior Shores. This is not the norm I do not think, maybe just an employee that is not doing what they should? Management should be inspecting however since I know that it takes a while for the bathroom to build up all that dirt and grime. Although, the rest of our experience was very good. The staff at Kamloops was awesome every time we came in. The front desk always smiled and greeted us coming or going. I have stayed at the Burlington Bay side and the suites before with no issues. Not sure why a standard room would have been less maintained and basically forgotten about. I did fill out the survey and left it at the front desk.
We had a great time. Swam in superior and the outdoor pool. Resort was clean and well groomed landscape. 4 star b/c toilet and grill didn't work right. Maintenance took grill and said he would replace but never did. Electrical short in it he said. I would go back again though. Nice to have the kitchen and dishes for us. Saved $ by eating in.
Perfect views of the lake. Beds are a little uncomfortable but it's to be expected when staying in a hotel/resort. Was perfect for a romantic get away. Close to Duluth if you're into exploring
Very good place to stay. We stayed there for hockey and everone there was really nice and the rooms are amazing. The pool is amazing also so if u want to stay somewhere near there this is the place for u to go
The night staff was very friendly on Friday. When we went to the room, we realized that the floor next to the window and bed was damp. It was pretty late so we waited the next day and told the front staff. They said it was from the rain. No effort to fix it or anything. Not even an apology. They just brushed us off. The breakfast was not very good.. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were over easy, not poached. The dinner prime rib was very good. The room we stayed was clean and the Jacuzzi was amazing. The bed was super comfy and big. View was very pretty. Would possibly return again if the service was friendlier. The morning waitress and two ladies at the front during the day were not very accommodating or very friendly. The woman that does the event coordinating was wonderful! She was so nice and helpful giving wedding info.
