Actual vets were professional and staff is caring, but one staff member is a bit looney. Very rude, condescending and very ignorant when it came to reality. Absolutely has anger and hatred toward country folks and farmers. I will not take any of my animals there again, whether it is one of a dozen indoor pets or any of our dozens of outdoor pets. Ive been raising and caring for amimals ( many hundreds) for over 40 yrs. I have biology and geology degrees in addition to a MN teaching licensure for seconday science. Also tutored human anatomy in collage since it came easy for me. I have owned small businesses, do all my own home and vehicle repairs and hire out my services as well. Ive worked at the Duluth Zoo caring for numerous exotic animals while in college, worked in factory settings, for the State of MN in a supervisory position with the DNR and DOC and retired after more that 20 years as a police officer. I have an IQ which consistantly has been tested at 149 - 151. I am not stupid, inexperienced nor ignorant. To be treated as such was to say the least irritating. As i get older I do not tolerate ridiculous people well. Especially those who act like pompous asses.
Wonderful doctors and caring staff
My husband and I were on vacation with our two dogs when one of our dogs got "porcupined" while we were out hiking. I was quite panicked since I had not experienced this before and my dog had a face full of quills, and the first clinic I called said they were booked and we would probably have to wait awhile, so I called Lake Country and they said they would squeeze us in. They were very busy, but squeezed us in anyway, they were all really caring, sedated our dog and had 3 people working to get all the quills out of her face, and the vet even called us the next day to see how she was doing.
Was quoted $400-450 dollars to get my dog spayed. The next day when I went to pick her up my bill was $980 dollars, I was shocked.
