One of our 'must-stop' places in Two Harbors. The food and service are great. We usually go early to avoid the crowd. It's a small place. A real gem!
Vanilla Bean is an absolute must stop every time I'm in the Duluth or Two Harbors area. Whenever my husband and I are planning out our days when visiting we always make sure to include breakfast at least once at Vanilla Bean. The menu has lots and lots of options. There is definitely something for everyone to chose from. If you're a fan of coffee then it's worth it to stop in for a cappuccino or latte. Even their Vanilla Bean coffee is great. The restaurant is small but it gives it a nice homey feeling. I've mostly gone on off seasons so being busy hasn't been an issue. Not sure about other times of the year. But we have always been seated right away. The food is always cooked to perfection. I've had the pleasure to try a bunch of things off the menu and have never been disappointed. The staff are amazing as well. Always super friendly and smiley. They are great at making sure your cup is always full. The food is out very quick but you don't get the feeling you're being rushed to give up your table. Vanilla Bean in my opinion is a very special place that you need to visit to understand the "magic" of it. It's one of my favorite part of visiting the North shore.
Exceptional food! Cozy environment gave way to outstanding menu. Ordered chicken fried steak (first time ever) and it was delicious. A little too much gravy for my taste but that was easy to push aside. The garlic mashed potatoes were wonderful! Real potatoes with enough garlic to make them delicious and automatic. The side of fresh vegetables was the best I have ever tasted! Shredded carrots mixed with sugar pea pods and cooked to absolute perfection! Will definitely be going back!
This was a cozy little coffee house and dine in, we enjoyed the northwoods coffee and the walleye with wild rice was fantastic! The Alfredo isn't true Alfredo sauce though it was still good. We came in an hour before closing and the food came out quickly, the tables were neat they were glossy and had imprints of screws,wrenches, and such. and it stays open till 9pm which was nice cause most food places close at 8pm on the shore. I would definitely recommend this place, 10/10 stars.

We ate here every morning of our stay in Two Harbors, and it was incredible. For the price, you're getting a ton of amazing food, and incredibly friendly wait staff. Felt like I was having breakfast at a family member's house. I would get breakfast here every morning if I lived in the area.
